Ashley is a native to Raleigh, North Carolina and has lived in the area for most of her life. She graduated from UNC Charlotte with a B.S. in chemistry. Though after a short time in the world of chemistry, she decided to follow her true passion, like many others, and went into veterinary medicine! Especially my love for cats - I have two at home named Nori and Nimbus! In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading, doodling people’s pets, baking, and lounging around with her cats.

Christen is a Licensed Veterinary Technician from Long Island, New York. She loves helping animals in need, as well as taking care of animals to keep them healthy! She has a rabbit, named Licorice, and a dog, named Dutch. When she’s not playing with her pets, she enjoys doing art work and photography.

Isaac grew up in a small town in the foothills of NC called Elkin, where he worked for many years as a Veterinary Assistant in a small animal/exotic/avian private practice. His favorite animal to work with is the Scarlet Macaw, however he has loved working with dogs and cats his whole life. Isaac volunteered with a wildlife rehab doctor during his time in Elkin, raising white-tailed deer fawns and fostering turtles with shell injuries.

He studied at NC State University for 4 years and is only a few credit hours from completing my degree in Textile Technology and my minor in Psychology. He has a spunky 16 year old Schnauzer/Beagle named Sadie who lives with my parents back in Elkin. Isaac loves building new relationships and working in the Vet Med field. He is very excited to be a part of the team!

Dr. Jennifer Sawyer grew up on a little farm in a small town in the mountains of North Carolina. Animals of every size, scaled, furred, and feathered, have always been attractive to her since a young child. She dreamed and worked hard towards becoming a doctor of these creatures she loved, since the age of 5.

In practice, Dr. Jennifer strives to provide the highest quality veterinary and preventative care in every appointment. Through her years of practicing medicine, she discovered a new passion in addition to caring for pets- to be a trustworthy guide and companion to parents of the pets she cares for, from the very first visit. Dr. Jennifer wishes for each pet parent she meets to feel cared for, listened to, and perhaps even look forward to their visits to the veterinarian, just as she always did growing up. She also enjoys behind the scenes leadership roles, caring for the pet care team, and working towards greater efficiency, so that the overall experiences of the pet parents are above their expectations.

Dr. Jennifer has 3 darling children and one very spoiled toy poodle named Pretzel. Most mornings, you will find Pretzel (fondly nicknamed “baby”) sitting in the extra chair at the kitchen table peering over the edge of the table with expectant eyes, hoping for some egg. During her free time, Dr. Jennifer enjoys traveling with her family, the beach, reading, walks, and working on her Etsy shop for fun.

Kate Snyder, NCSU CVM class of 2011. She was working in Apex, NC for 11 years as a primary care vet. Originally, Kate grew up in the northeast, but has been in NC since 2006. She lives in Holly Springs with son, Jay and a handful of animals, but at the forefront is their extremely crazy amstaff named Maisie. In her free time, Kate enjoys running, camping, and trying out new restaurants; exotic/adventurous food! She is really looking forward to building incredible bonds with such an amazing team.

Miriam has been a Veterinary Assistant for 5 years prior to joining our Petfolk team. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and their dogs. Miriam has been very excited for this new chapter, and to be growing with the company!

Stephanie joined our Petfolk team as an Associate Veterinarian in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a NC State CVM 2021 grad, and has been finishing up her MPH at UNC this past year. She shares her home with two papillons, two cats, and most recently a baby budgie! In her free time she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and practicing her pottery skills.
