What can urgent care treat?
Petfolk Raleigh-area clinics handle the sick visits that can't wait for a wellness slot but aren't emergencies. With digital x-rays, basic ultrasound and an in-house lab for many tests, the vet can often find the cause in one trip. Pets come in for:

Diarrhea
Ear pain or infection
Eye irritation
Skin problems, from allergies to hot spots

When should I go to the ER instead?
Choose an ER if your pet is having trouble breathing, has collapsed, has a seizure lasting more than a few minutes, or was badly hurt. Petfolk is not an ER, and none of its clinics stay open overnight. Watch for these too:
Bleeding that won't slow down
A swollen belly with dry heaves (possible bloat)
A male cat straining to urinate
Antifreeze, rat bait, xylitol or another poison you know was eaten
