What can urgent care treat?
Petfolk Scottsdale's vets handle the sick visits that can't wait for a weekday slot:
Vomiting, diarrhea or a sudden loss of appetite
Ear, eye and skin flare-ups
A burned, cut or sore paw pad
Limping
Small wounds
A cough or sneeze that's new
Something your dog or cat chewed up, if it's still acting normal
Petfolk Scottsdale runs many lab tests in house and takes digital x-rays on site. More on urgent care at Petfolk.
When should I go to the ER instead?
Go to a 24-hour animal hospital, not urgent care, if your pet:
Shows heatstroke signs after time outside: heavy panting, drooling, wobbling or collapse
Can't breathe easily
Has a seizure
Was hit by a car
Is bleeding heavily
Has a swollen belly and is trying to vomit without success
These two hospitals list themselves as open 24 hours on their own websites (checked November 1, 2026):

Who are we?
In short, we’re Petfolk—folks who love your pet as much as you do. Based on this simple philosophy, our goal is to provide world-class veterinary care for your cherished pet. As we break the barriers holding veterinary medicine back, we guarantee that your pet will receive nothing but the best, because they deserve nothing less.
When it comes to keeping your pet happy and healthy, lean on your Petfolk care team. Through a combination of cutting-edge technology, and tailored veterinary services, we’re here to improve the vet clinic experience, for you and your pet. No one is more devoted to providing gold-standard care to the cats, dogs, and pet parents of the Phoenix community than Petfolk.
What services do we provide?
No matter what your pet needs, our Petfolk team is here to provide. From regular wellness visits to urgent care services, you can count on us to be your partner in your pet’s healthcare journey.
We offer veterinary services that include, but aren’t limited to:
Primary care: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and it’s invaluable when it comes to your pet’s health. Regular preventive care consists of a nose-to-tail physical exam, history analysis, disease screening tests, and so much more. Pet check-ups should occur annually for adult pets and more frequently for senior cats and dogs, so be sure to schedule your pet’s wellness visit on time, every time.
Vaccinations: Vaccinations not only keep your pet safe, but also everyone who comes in contact with them. Zoonotic diseases, like leptospirosis and rabies, can be passed between your four- and two-legged family members, but tailored vaccination protocols can protect your entire family and the Phoenix community.
Spay and neuter services: Part of being a responsible pet owner is spaying or neutering your pet at the recommended age. This surgical procedure can prevent a multitude of reproductive-related health and behavioral issues, in addition to reducing the homeless pet population.
Urgent veterinary care: If your pet is under the weather, don’t wait for a regular appointment to open up. Our care team is always ready to help pets return to their family’s side, happy and healthy once again. Give us a call or book an appointment online if you think your pet needs urgent vet care.
